City University of London Stand: 5-H50 /Air-Tech

As the transition to zero carbon energy accelerates and deepens, the requirements for compressor technology are also evolving. Hydrogen electrolysis, to make use of excess renewable electricity, is one area where we are seeing a rapidly developing market for screw compressors. Electrolyser projects are scaling up quickly from medium scale demonstration plants to units of hundreds of mega-watts of capacity and to support this there is a need for high volume flow compressors capable of taking this hydrogen product and compressing it so that it can be distributed to end users. Project SECRET is enabling Howden to accelerate our product development by applying the latest research into oil-free compressors directly into our established product range.
