Dr Samir Khan (PI) is a senior lecturer in Intelligent systems at Cranfield University. His expertise is focused on system health monitoring and planning in the context of autonomous systems and service robots. Samir brings a deep competency in receiving and developing AI models, data analysis and fusion for workflow assessment. He has managed several industrial projects, both nationally and internationally, with Rolls-Royce, Sumitomo Electric Industries, JAXA, Jaguar Land Rover, BAE Systems, totalling approximately £200,000. Samir was the recipient of the prestigious JSPS fellow award in 2016 to develop an informatics platform for next-generation health monitoring. His track record also includes building an autonomous technology lab with the Japanese space agency at the University of Tokyo in Japan.
