Dr Samir Khan (PI) is a senior lecturer in Intelligent systems at Cranfield University. His expertise is focused on system health monitoring and planning in the context of autonomous systems and service robots. Samir brings a deep competency in receiving and developing AI models, data analysis and fusion for workflow assessment. He has managed several industrial projects, both nationally and internationally, with Rolls-Royce, Sumitomo Electric Industries, JAXA, Jaguar Land Rover, BAE Systems, totalling approximately '200,000. Samir was the recipient of the prestigious JSPS fellow award in 2016 to develop an informatics platform for next-generation health monitoring. His track record also includes building an autonomous technology lab with the Japanese space agency at the University of Tokyo in Japan.'
