Steve has been a Regulatory & Sustainability Expert at Assent since June 2019. Prior to that, he was a UK Government expert in national and EU policy issues with over 20 years of experience in that area. His responsibilities in government covered a wide range of sustainable development, product, waste & recycling legislation and he led the UK team negotiating a number of new proposals from the European Commission in Brussels, taking agreed legislation through the Whitehall & Parliamentary processes to become UK Regulations and overseeing its subsequent implementation and enforcement.
